   We know that India is fulfilled with festivals and celebrations. Festivals brings change in everyday life. The change means it maybe food taking habits, for wearing clothes, to meet the relatives or to make the get together. All these changes occur due to feeding habits, change in environment , etc. Of them in India keeping fasting is the best way of changing taking food, getting relaxation to our stomach. Generally, if we will decide to make fasting as it is ,without any spiritual reason or without any God’s rules it creates a lot of pressure on us. But if we will accept it as it is for God and this is my devotion for the God then we didn’t feel heavy or any type of pressure to us. We can run this fasting happily. And  also We  didn’t feel  hungry.

We are ready to do fasting but we didn’t live life without any intake. We know that if, we will take this much big risk, it will create a lot of health problems. So  we are taking juice, it may be fruit juice milk shake or mixed fruit juice.

So today I have a fasting of Vinayak Chaturthi , so I decided to make Chickoo milk shake.

Ingredients for it

Chikoo 4

Cream milk 250 ml

Cashew nuts – 4 to5

Almonds 2

Caradamom powder 1teas

Chakka -2tbsp

Sugar 3 tbsp

PROCEDURE  FOR IT. : Take 4 ripened nice Chikoo.Remove its peel and keep aside.

                                     : Take Chakka, milk cream,cashew nuts, almonds, caradamom powder, sugar in the mixture jar.

    Cut the Chikoo in to slices and add in to the mixture jar .

  Make  the milk shake in the mixture.    

Now serve it

We are using sweet potatoes to make chips, fingers, etc today I thought we shall make it with jaggary so started to make it here is the recipe.

INGREDIENTS FOR IT

Sweet potatoes 1/2 kg

ghee  1/2 bowl

jaggary  1/4 kg

PROCEDURE FOR IT :  Take the sweet potatoes and keep it in the water for a while

to remove its soil .

: Wash it 3 to 4 times clearly to remove its soil and dust .

:  Remove its peel and make its finger

: Keep the pan on the gas , pour oil to it .

: Now add the fingers to it and fry it well.

: Fry it well ,spread some water to it so that it could become                                                smooth. If you want crunchy then don’t spread water.

: Now add smooth jaggary to it.

:  Stir it well to make pakkum of it . Mix it well.

: Serve it as it is.

NOTE : KEEP THE FLAME OF GAS MIDDLE IN TOTAL PROCEDURE.

Ingradients for chhola thalepit 

1]Chhola   500 gm

2]  Wheat flour  1 bowl

3] Dhaniya   2 tablespoon

4]  Cumin  2 tablespoon

5]  Garlic   7 to 8 flakes

6] Ajawain 2 tablespoon

7]Chilly powder 2 tablespoon

8] Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon

9] Coriander 1 Bowl

10]  Green Chilly 7 to 8

11]Oil 1/2 bowl    

PROCEDURE : Soak the Chhola’s for 2 days. Grind it in the mixture. Keep it as it is in the fridge for 1 day. Next day again grind it by adding all above gradients with adding the small amount of water. Make it as like paste, add one bowl of wheat flour in it. Mix it properly.

Now keep tawa or pan on the gas. Spread oil on the Tawa.Now make Thalepit on the hand and keep it on the pan. Cover this pan with another grid. Shake it to become red color.

Serve it with Dahi Chutney or Mango pickle. Give some Mango juice and some green fry chilly with it. It gives the different taste.

Fasting Thalepit Of Varai With Cooked cucumber

PREP    COOK    TOTAL

MIN       20          20     40 min

Serve for 4

INGREDIENTS 

Baked vari flour 500 gm

cucumber  4 to 5 middle size

green chilly    6 to 7

skutt    3 tbsp

cumin powder  2 tbsp

salt  2 tbsp

soaked shabudana 1 bowl

groundnut  oil  1/2 bowl

green chilly: 4 to 5

PROCEDURE :     Wash the cucumber with clean water.

Cut it into small pieces .

: Keep it in the cooker to cook .

: Take 2 to 3 whistles and off the gas .

: Now take the varai flour into the big thali .

: Grind the soaked shabudana and add it to the varai flour .

: Make the paste of green chilly, skutt and salt , add it to the varai flour.

: Now grind the cooked cucumber into the mixture to make a good                                       paste .

: Add it to the varai flour .

: Now knead all flour completely .

: Keep tawa on the gas , spread some oil to it ,

: Make thalepit on it and spread some oil on it.

:keep lid on it to get the steam completely

: Well prepared Thalepits are ready to eat.
