Allu Tikki -Potato,Sprouted Moong – Potato Recipes.

I  like to eat sprouted food so I kept green Moong to create sprouts.But, this time sprouts have not occurred, instead of it fermentation has taken place and  some sour smell is coming from it then I thought we shall make khamang Dhokala of it but it requires more time so again I changed my decision and thought to make Sprouted Moong Tikki.

Started to collect ingredients for it .

soaked  moong    1/2 kg

potato   [cooked ] – 1

  green chilly _   5  to 6

   coriander  _  1/2 bowl

             salt _  2 tbsp

chilly powder –     1 tbsp

turmeric powder  1/2 tbsp

wheat flour   1 small bowl

oil    1/2 bowl

cumin    1 tbsp

PROCEDURE FOR IT :   Soak the Moong in a water in the night or for 1 day.

: Grind it in the mixture.

: Make the paste of green chilly, coriander, garlic , cumin etc and keep                                                       aside.

: Take the cooked potatoes crush it in one dish and keep aside.

:   Take   all ingredients in a big thali and mix it properly.

:  Take some oil on the hand and knead it to make a nice dough.

: Make its nice Tikki and keep aside

:  Now keep the pan on the gas spread oil on it .

: Keep Tikkis’ on it , spread oil on it .

: Bake it on both side by applying oil on it .

: Nice ,delicious Tikki is ready to eat .

:  Serve it with garlic chutney.

   Today everyone is becoming alert about food . Food is the real source of life it can effect on our body, mind and behavior. This food if we are not ate with rule’s of nature it can create poison in our life. Our mind also getting disturbered with it ,to keep our mind fresh and clean we must have to eat fresh organic food  . Nature is a big source of food but we must have the knowledge that how to get food from the nature? How much effort have to be do to cultivate the food? etc The person who is getting ready made food  not thinking about more as he had given so much amount to the food . But some things are so valuable that we can’t make value of it any cost .It may be food or person or tree. But when we have converted it into profession it makes difference in our life and that food become sometime poison. So we must have to keep respect of food in the form of Thanks giving day. We must have to cultivate some vegetables or fruits in our garden. But, when we need the food in more proportion then we have to support to the farmers who are working in the field. We must have to take care of their life , along with their family members. As we know that what nature is giving to us that we can’t give back to the nature. So every time we have to run our life with the great gratitude towards nature. Thanks to the person who has invented this day for the food . As we didn’t give back to the nature what he gives us?So always we must have to carry good intention behind any karma with nature.

   Let us we shall see how today i have made apple salad with so many contents.

When I had been in the class of 4 TH I am remembering my summer vacation. My mother was making ” Sooji” of new wheat. Means she keeps wheat to soak for a time. After drying  she grinds it on the stone grinder with singing a song. When she was singing a song she prepares a song for every Gods and after that, she makes a song  for her every kid in the down or afternoon and I was sleeping near her . listening to her songs with the music of that grindstone. It gives me proud feeling as well as increased respect for my mother with increasing caring love. In this way, she makes ‘Sooji” of that wheat and starts to sieving with cotton ”Dhoti”

After some days she prepares that ”Sooji ” for noodles by adding water. She kneads it carefully and making its dough to make small noodles.That is in Marathi we say ”Valvat”. When it gets a dry taste of it we never forget it. We make its Kheer or mixed vegetable noodle.

Now I have made vegetable noodle here.

ingredients for it.

noodles  1 bowl

onion  1 [chopped ]

tomato 1 chopped

coriander 2 tbsp [ chopped ]

capsicum  1 big size [chopped ]

carrot   1 [chopped]

cabbage   1 bowl [grated]

groundnut   1/2 bowls

oil    2 tbsp

paste of garlic  1/2 tbsp

hing   1 teas

powder of cumin  1 tbsp

cumin seeds 1 tbsp

mustard seeds 1 tbsp

Maggi masala 1 tbsp

garam  masala 1 tbsp

salt   as your convenience

sugar 1 tbsp

chilly powder  1/2 tbsp

turmeric powder 1 teas

PROCEDURE  FOR IT : Take vegetables ready to make it.

: Wash it with clean hands

:  chop some  vegetables like carrot, capsicum, coriander, cabbage  and keep aside

: Chop onion, tomato and keep aside

: Make the paste of garlic and keep aside

: Take the small cooker , keep all vegetables and groundnuts to                                                  cook. Keep it for a while and put off the gas

: Keep the pan on the gas, pour some oil to it, add cumin’s,   mustard seeds to it wait to splutter it.

:  Add hing, the paste of garlic to it and instantly add chopped onion to  it , saute it well.

: Add chopped tomato to it and fry it well.

: Add all cooked vegetables to it and again saute it well for a short   time.  Make the flame of a gas slow.

:  Meanwhile, keep the water to heat in another pot.

: Now add salt, chilly powder, Maggi Masala, Garam Masala,  turmeric powder, sugar to it.

: At last add noodles to it and mix it well with frying spoon.Fry it for   a  short time.

: Pour enough hot water to cook it well.

: Add hot water [enough ] to it and stir it slowly.

:  Keep the lid on it to get a nice steam.

;  Your tasty noodles are ready. Serve it hot
