Varai and Poppy Seed Kheer Recipe : Left Over Desserts

We know that we carry ”Sankashti Chaturthi” Vrut. For this Vrut many people didn’t eat salt. As salt is the main reason who can make a lot of changes in our mental as well as physical life.

So yesterday I want to make some sweet for fasting. Now I have left over Bhagar or Varai so I decided to make it’s Kheer. Let us we will check here , how did I have made it?

Cooked varai : 1 bowl

cream milk : 1 glass

cashew nuts,almonds, : 4 to 5

ghee: 1 tbsp

caradamom powder: 1 teas.

sugar : As your convience

Take Varai [cooked] cool. Keep the cream milk to boil.

Add suagr, Cashew nuts powder, Almond powder, etc

Now add cooled Varai into the hot boiled milk.

Stir and mix it well. Now keep it in the fridge after some time.

Serve it with ghee and pieces of almond.

Today we have Rangpanchami the here eeryone is playing it. In the morning I have so many types of food that is ”Kasoori Methi Subji, Leftover Roti poha, roti’ chapati, etc. In that I forgot to make ”Navidyam”

for the God. Then what can I made instantly?So now I decided to make

Instant Poppy seeds Kheer.

Let us check her how did I have made it?

Poppy seeds : 2 tbsp

cream milk : 100ml

cashew nut, almond powder : 1 tbsp

caradamom powder:1/2 teas

ghee: 1tbsp

sugar: As your convience

Keep the cream milk for boiling/

Add poppy seeds, powder of cashew nut, almond ro it.

Now add suagr and stir it well.

At last add caradamom powder and serve it with ghee.

Green chilly peanut chutney – How to make

 Every time we are making chutney by grinding in the mixture but here  in Maharashtra if 

there is a celebration of any festival  and if we have made Puran Poli then we must have to make this Mirachaamrut. In my sister’s home there is a small spiritual program of ”BHAGAWAT KATHA” For it we have made it.  This Mirach Amrut  is a nice side dish with Puran Poli . This gives very nice taste as it’s method is totally different from common chutney. If we will make it any time for a regular meal or Bhojan it can’t give good taste .But in the festival if we will make it instantly it has nice and delicious taste . Let us we will see how to make it ?

green chillies 1/2 kg

lemon juice or tamarind juice 1 cup

Jaggary 100 gm

Garam masala    2 tbsp

curry leaves 2 tbsp

cumin powder   2 tbsp

Skutt  2 bowls

Home made metkut  1/2 bowl

oil  1/2 bowl

mustard seeds  1 tbsp

Hing  1 pinch

coriander 2 tbsp [chopped]

water 1 glass.

salt As your convenience

turmeric powder 1 tbsp  

PROCEDURE   FOR IT :  Take green chilies in a big thali . Wash it with clean water . 

                      Make it’s small pieces  and keep a side .

                        : Make the lemon juice ready and keep aside.

                          : Now keep the pan on the gas , add oil to it . 

                    : Add Mustard seeds, cumin seeds  and wait to
splutter it 

                           : Now add curry leaves , hing to it and fry it well.

                         : Now add pieces of green chilly to it and fry it well .

                              :  Add Peanut powder, , home made Metkut, Garam Masala, salt,                                       
                            turmeric powder and  stir it well . Keep lid on it
for a while

                            Now slowly add lemon juice, Jaggary , coriander , turmeric   powder to  it.

                              : At the end slowly add 1 glass of water and keep it to heat for 10  minutes.

                              : After a while put off the gas and serve it in the NAIVYDAM.

Happy Diwali Friends,

Celebration makes man active, happy and removing our laziness. We are filled with full of enthusiasm .If we have any health problem that also some ladies keep aside  and celebrate Diwali or any festival .Sometimes if a health problem is due to our mental tiredness or  due to any family issue or mental issue, it can overcome with this celebration.Some ladies can act on it and working with positive eagerness. 

    I know today every ladies becoming professional, earning money for their families .Everyone is working for it .No one has the time to do extra work for family or for the home .Then question come who can attend to the families? This question is always torching me since so many days . As I think that home is not running on the profession. To run the home there must be scarification of work, comprising in daily work .If everyone is thinking What can I do? I must have to be safe, then this question creates a lot of questions in the family.But instead this is my family I must have to work for it if any one work or not it keeps strong binding in the family .In olden days, so many ladies are keeping these thoughts with them and so families are never broken.Relationships also remaining longer.But for a while in some families ladies have to be suffered more and she has to scarify her life for it. If she maybe she has power to struggle for it then also she can’t . This also too much danger to run the family. Means anything which is in more proportion means tolerance power or scarification or love ethic is dangerous to everyone’s life. There must have limit for it.

Diwali celebration has also become an issue in so many families . In some families the ladies who have more understanding have to be understood throughout life.Because the front person thinks that she can do everything .I didn’t have to be take more care of it.Not only front person, but all remaining family members also think. If she is doing continuously then this time comes to break the family. You can make yourself , I can make myself this thinking brakes the family.  So we like to watch serials who are celebrating their ”HAPPY DIWALI”together or ”TARAK MEHATA KA ULTA CHASMA. We want to collect together, but who can do the work? This is the question in every family.

Basen flour 1 bowl

sugar powder  1 bowl

ghee 1/2 bowl

raisins  4 to 5

almonds  4 to 5

cashew nut    5 to 6

PROCEDURE FOR IT :  Take all ingredients ready .SWEETS

Keep the pan on the gas , Add basen flour to it ,bake it slowly .

: Add ghee and bake it continuously, till khaman smell comes .

Date paratha Recipe – Paratha

: Then keep it down , add sugar , powder of cashew nut, almond                                             power and mix it well .

: Make its Ladoo  and serve it .
