  • Fast food is term given to food that can be prepared and served very quickly. Another way to define Fast food is that they are the food that contributes little or no nutrient value to the diet, but instead they provide excess calories, flavors, sugar and fats which have negative impact on your health.
  • Although Fast foods are good way to save time, it is not a proper way to get nutrition.  Some of the fast foods have no nutrition value and often than not they are high in fats, sugar and calories.
  • Common fast foods are like salted snacks foods, gum, candy, sweet desserts, fried foods and carbonated beverages. Other common fast food items are chips, pastries, sandwiches, Burger, kebab, pizza, fried chicken and fancy salads. The list also includes drinks like milkshakes and soft drinks.
  • Fast foods are pocket friendly and tastes good, but it has negative impact on your physical health. Consumption of sugar, artificial color and flavors and fats can give way to problems like attention deficit, anxiety, emotional instability lack of communication and frustration especially in kids.
  • Consumption of fast food is one of the main reasons for pre-mature ageing signs as the dermis is not properly oxygenated by the saturation of fats and artificial flavors. When you eat these foods for long term, you can develop hypertension, and high blood pressure. When you eat theses foods it causes an addictive pattern in your mind but in the end all you end up is being overweight, lethargic and not feeling good about yourself.  
  • The effects of junk food on health are not very good. From the heartburn to kidneys to liver problems, junk food items can cause a lot of problems for the vital organs in the body.
  • Fast foods are loaded with fat and calories and eating too much of them will have negative effects on your weight as you routinely take in more calories than you except.
  • Junk food contains large amount of saturated fat and cholesterol which in excess may put you at risk of heart disease these processed fast foods are often high in salt or sodium.
  • A diet that provides large amount of processed carbohydrate like those in candy in commercially baked goods and potato chips promotes insulin resistance. In insulin resistance some cells no longer responds to insulin which leads to high blood sugar, increasing the risk of diabetes.
  • Junk foods with low dietary fibber and lack of nutrition value is a man contributor towards breast cancer, since the contents of the fast food meal can make your vital organs like liver fatty and may cause inflammation. Today’s Simple Dinner- A to Z Series

Ingredients 

Wheatflour  1/2 kg

Dal [toor]    1/4 kg

Salt   2 tablespoon

Coriander  5 gm chopped

Mustard seeds : 1 tablespoon

Garam Masala :  1 teaspoon

Hing    1 pinch

Sugar  1 tablespoon

Oil    3 tablespoon

Tomato :  1

Garlic    5 to 6 petals

Ingradients  For Bhurka

oil :  1 tablespoon

Mustard seeds : 2 tablespoon

Chilly powder : 2 tablespoon

Seasame :  2 tablespoon

PROCEDURE:

Take 1/2 kg wheat flour in a  thali. Add slowly some water in it. Knead it perfectly.  Now cook dal in the small cooker. Add turmeric powder    1 lit hot water in it. Now add salt, sugar etc. Keep the big pan or pot on the gas. Pour oil in it, add cumin, Mustard seeds, garlic pieces in it. After some time add pieces of tomato, fry it well add the small amount of chilly powder  1 pinch in it , fry it well. Now add prepared liquid dal in it slowly. Stir it well. Add sugar, salt and coriander and keep it for boiling.

Now make Chapati. Cut it into a round shape. Add these pieces slowly in the dal. again make another Chapati do this procedure. till finish Atta of wheat. Keep it for cooking for a while.  Serve it with Bhurka.

How to make Bhurka :  Take oil in a small pan. Keep it for heating, add cumin, mustard seeds, curry leaves  and sesame in it. fry it slowly on the small gas. Add chilly powder and salt in it. Now tasty Bhurakha is ready to eat.

SERVE DAL FAL WITH GHEE AND BHURAKHA.

You can make this item sweet also by using ghee, jaggery, dal etc.

This drink is famous in India. Generally, it is making in the summer season, as it gives relief feeling after drinking it. It is cold, tasty  and acts as a health remedy also. INGREDIENTS FOR IT

Buttermilk   1/4 lit

sugar   2 tbsp

salt   1 tbsp

cumin powder  1 tbsp

black pepper powder 1/2 tbsp

Hing  1/2 teas

coriander   2 tbsp [chopped ]

ginger  1/4 inch

oil  1 tbsp

cumin seeds 1 tbsp

mustard seeds 1 tbsp

PROCEDURE FOR IT :   Take the buttermilk of given quantity.

: Make powders of cumin, black pepper powder and keep                                                                  aside

: grate the ginger and keep aside

: Now add all these ingredients one by one and stir it well.

: Keep the small pan on the gas.

: Pour oil to it , add cumin seeds, mustard seeds in it and wait to                                                            splutter it. Add a pinch of hing to it.                                                                                            : Pour this live spluttering oil into the buttermilk .

: Serve it in today’s lunch

How To Make Idli’s -Color Idali – A TO Z Series 2019

Let us make color idli

prep cook total

1/2 hr  1/2 hr    1 hr

Ingredients for it

prepared batter of idali  :   1 lit

tomatoes   : 2 [chopped ]

green chilly :  7 to 8

coriander  1/2 bowl chopped

baking soda   1 teas

Fenugreek seeds   7 to 8

salt   : as your convenience

chilly powder : 1 tbsp

turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp

cumin powder: 2 tbsp

sugar 7 to 8 granules

PROCEDURE TO MAKE COLOR IDLIS: First add some salt and  chilly powder, cumin powder in the tomato .grind it in the mixture to make a red paste.

Add idlli batter to it and keep aside.

Now make the paste of green chilly and coriander and add it to the Idli batter and keep aside.

Take idli batter in another tiffin add turmeric powder to it and keep aside.

Now take the idli patra and add batter one by one in each patra .

Keep it to the cook for 10 minutes and after cooling remove its lid.

PREPARATION OF CHUTNEY FOR IDALI :

INGREDIENTS FOR IT

Green chilly    :    1bowl

coconut pieces   : 1/2 bowl

groundnut seeds  : 1/4 bowl

coriander   2 tbsp

sugar     1 teas

salt  as your convenience

Hing    1 pinch

dahi or butter milk   1/2 bowl

:  Take green chilies and coconut pieces in the mixture pot.

: Add cumin seeds, some groundnut, coriander, hing, sugar , salt etc

:  Grind it in the mixture.If you want liquid chutney add Dahi or butter                              milk while grinding so that it will become smooth chutney.

Serve it with idali
