Hi friends, have you heard a word Modak? Do you know the meaning of this word? Generally, Modak word is breaking into 2 parts that is one is Mod + K. In Marathi Mod means happiness, & while making it we make peak at the top this peak indicated ”k” Spreading Krishna waves with happiness in the universe. So that Modak.
On every Chathurthi there is a traditional method that does Modakas. If anyone is getting bored to make it means he is bored with his life or his daily work or he may be tired to do his work . Maybe he is losing his hopes. Lots of meaning. If you want to be active in life in any situation then make Modak for every Chaturthi. Don’t get bored or tired to make it.
I have read one big book on ”Ganesha Adhyatam Darshan ”In this book, they have explained the meaning of Modak very deeply. Anyway, we are enjoying Modak a lot of times. Anyone can easily get attract with it as due to its different shape. There are so many methods to make Modakas. As well as so many types to make it. Generally, Ganesha’s favourite Modak are Ukadichi Modak with grated coconut & jaggery.
Every year I am making Modak by frying . It was making with Rava, grated coconut & jaggery for stuffing. Yesterday I saw Ukadiche Modak of one recipe with step by step & I decided to make it.
When i am making it today i was angry with Dasanna Amit” telling her why did she make this much hard recipe? & at the start, I thought I can’t make it.As it is rice flour in that it has so many steps how can i make it? It’s very hard to make it & time-consuming process. But today i decided to make it anyway maybe i require so much time.

Ingredients for it
jaggary: 50 gm
coconut [grated ] : 50 gm
cardamom: 4 to 5 flakes
Almonds : 3 to 4
cashew nut: 2 to 3
I have taken 5 things for stuffing purposely.As I want to make it with 5 food items.
PROCEDURE FOR IT; Grind the rice to make the flour & keep aside.
: Now take grated coconut, almonds, cashew nut, jaggery in the mixture jar.
: Grind it well as like to make stuffing material.
: Add some ghee in the rice flour & knead it with hot water.
: While kneading it becomes like Rava scattered everywhere means it can’t knead properly.
: So to knead properly we have to give steam to the flour for 5 minutes.
: Now knead the flour completely by taking ghee on the hand.
: Make the balls of it & fill the saran to it.
; keep all these Modakas to get the steam in the cooker or in the steam pot.
: Make its Prasad give ”BHOG” to the God.
