In this week i am remembering to my mother for her favourite food. In my childhood, she was making Upma of homemade Rava. That is she is grinding wheat on stone grinder & making Rava at home. This Rava gives very delicious taste. This taste we never have been forgotten forever. Her process of making this type of Upma is totally different.

Otherwise today we are making Upma with adding so many ingredients but it is not giving like that tatse. Whatever maybe let us start to make this traditional Upma now.

INGREDIENTS FOR IT

Rava: 1 bowl

peanut: 1/2 bowl

gramnut  :   2 tab

curry leaves; 5 to 6

cumin’s: 1 tab

hing       : 2pinch

chilly powder: 1 tab

salt: as your convenience.

sugar: 1 tab

mustard seed: 1tab

Oil: 1/2 bowl

 PROCEDURE FOR IT: Take  1 bowl Rava by sieving in the pan.

: Bake it without adding anything to it.

: Bake it till red colour comes  & khaman smell spread                                                          everywhere   & keep aside.

: Pour some oil in the pan, wait to heat it, add cumin &                                                     mustard seeds to it, wait to splutter it.

:   Add curry leaves & fry it well.

: Now add peanut, gramnut & fry it well.

: Now pour turmeric powder, chilly powder, sugar, salt to it

:  Add 1 lit water to it.

: Now wait to boil water.

:   Add baked Rava to it slowly so that it will stir easily & no                                                            bubbles  create there .

:  Stir it uniformally & continuously so that it could become smooth & free.

: At last keep lid on it to get good steam.

NOTE :   Purposely i have not added more ingredient that is green chilly, onion, lemon juice etc.As this taste of Upma is totally different from normal Upma.  bAKING & STIRRING IS THE BEST SKILL FOR THIS UPMA.
